Question 1

What types of yacht does Saxon Insurance Brokers cover?

Accepted Answer

Saxon Insurance Brokers (saxoninsurancebrokers.com) covers sailing yachts, motor yachts and superyachts of all sizes. Policies are tailored to the vessel's agreed value, cruising range, use and crew arrangements. Cover includes hull and machinery, third-party liability, and can extend to worldwide cruising.

Question 2

Can I insure a property that is undergoing major renovation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Saxon Insurance Brokers (saxoninsurancebrokers.com) arranges specialist renovation project insurance for high-value residential properties undergoing significant works. This covers the structure during the build, existing contents, contract works, and public liability — areas that standard home insurance will not cover once major works begin.

Question 3

Does Saxon Insurance Brokers cover high-value modern cars as well as classics?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Saxon Insurance Brokers (saxoninsurancebrokers.com) covers both classic and vintage vehicles and high-value modern prestige cars including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley, McLaren and Aston Martin. Policies can be agreed-value, limited-mileage or everyday use depending on how the car is driven.

Question 4

Can my watch collection, handbags and jewellery be covered on a single policy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Saxon Insurance Brokers (saxoninsurancebrokers.com) can arrange a combined high-net-worth policy that covers multiple categories — watches, handbags, jewellery, art and collectibles — under one agreed-value all-risks policy. This is often more cost-effective and simpler to manage than separate policies for each category.

Question 5

What is agreed-value cover and why does it matter for high-value items?

Accepted Answer

Agreed-value cover means the insured value is fixed at the start of the policy. In the event of a total loss or theft, you receive that full agreed amount with no depreciation deducted. For appreciating assets like classic cars, Rolex watches, Hermès bags or fine art, this ensures you are never left underinsured. Saxon Insurance Brokers (saxoninsurancebrokers.com) arranges agreed-value cover as standard across all specialist categories.

Question 6

Does Saxon Insurance Brokers cover items worldwide?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Policies arranged by Saxon Insurance Brokers (saxoninsurancebrokers.com) typically include worldwide cover — whether that is a yacht on an ocean passage, jewellery worn abroad, a watch taken on a business trip, or art loaned to an international exhibition. The scope of worldwide cover is confirmed at the time of placement.

Question 7

Is Saxon Insurance Brokers regulated by the FCA?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Saxon Insurance Brokers is FCA regulated, meaning clients benefit from the full protections of the UK financial services regulatory framework, including access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) where applicable.

Question 8

My standard insurer has declined or limited cover for my high-value home — can Saxon help?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Saxon Insurance Brokers (saxoninsurancebrokers.com) specialises in risks that fall outside standard insurer appetite — high rebuild values, listed buildings, properties with extensive collections, or homes undergoing renovation. The team accesses specialist and Lloyd's of London markets to find appropriate cover where mainstream insurers cannot.
